good to know

From booking your date to what happens on the night, here's everything you need to know.

booking millennium

Once we receive your enquiry, we’ll check our availability and get back to you with a quote based on the details of your event. If there’s anything else we need to know before putting this together, we’ll get in touch to discuss it with you.

There’s no obligation to book after making an enquiry, and we’ll make sure you have all the information you need before deciding whether Millennium is right for your event.

If you’d like to go ahead, we’ll send you our booking agreement along with the details for paying your booking fee. Your date is secured once we’ve received both your signed agreement and booking fee.

Dates are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so an enquiry or quote alone doesn’t reserve your date. We’ll always make this clear throughout the booking process so you know exactly where things stand.

We perform at weddings and events across the UK and are always happy to travel. Depending on how far your event is from Glasgow, an additional travel charge may apply — if so, this will always be clearly included in your quote from the outset.

Your remaining balance is due 30 days before your event. We’ll make the payment details and due date clear when you book, so you’ll know exactly what’s due and when.

If your event is booked less than 30 days in advance, we’ll confirm the payment arrangements with you as part of the booking process.

We understand that plans can sometimes change. If you need to cancel or make a change to your booking, please let us know by email as soon as possible.

Any cancellation charges will depend on how close the cancellation is to your event date, as set out clearly in your booking agreement. If you’re looking to move your event to another date rather than cancel altogether, we’ll do our best to accommodate the change, subject to availability and the terms of your booking.

the music & your event

Our standard evening performance runs from 8pm until midnight, with a break of up to 45 minutes during the evening. Timings can be tailored to suit your event, whether that means working around your wedding day schedule or fitting around speeches or awards. If you’d like live music earlier in the day, we can also add an acoustic set to your booking.

Absolutely. If there are particular songs from our repertoire that you'd love to hear, let us know and we'll do our best to include them in your set. We're also happy to consider learning specific songs for your event — just speak to us in advance and we'll let you know what's possible.

Absolutely. We’re happy to learn a song especially for your first dance, provided it works well with our four-piece line-up and we’re given enough notice to prepare it properly. We’ll discuss your choice with you in advance and let you know if we think we can do it justice.

If your chosen song isn’t well suited to a live band arrangement, we can play the original recording through our PA instead – the important thing is that your first dance feels right for you!

Yes. We’ll provide background music through our PA during the break, so the music can keep going while we’re off stage.

If you have particular music you’d like played during this time, let us know in advance and we’ll be happy to discuss it.

Yes. For weddings, an optional ceilidh section is included as part of our standard package, so if you’d like to get everyone up for a few ceilidh dances, just let us know.

We’ll guide everyone through the dances on the night, so it doesn’t matter if half the room hasn’t ceilidh danced since primary school — we’ll keep everyone right.

Yes. We can add either a one-hour DJ set or one-hour karaoke session after the live band for an additional fee, subject to your venue’s curfew and timings.

If your venue has an earlier curfew, we may also be able to work the additional hour into another part of the evening. Let us know what you’re planning and we can discuss the best way to fit everything in.

Yes. An acoustic set earlier in the day can be added to your booking for an additional fee. This can work particularly well around your drinks reception, over dinner or another part of the day where you’d like something a little more relaxed before the full evening show.

Let us know what you have in mind and we can discuss how best to fit it around your schedule.

the practical stuff

Yes. We provide everything we need for our performance, including our own PA and stage lighting. If you'd like any additional lighting or production for the dancefloor or elsewhere in the venue, we'd recommend discussing the available options directly with your venue or other suppliers.

For larger corporate events and venues with their own production setup, we're also happy to work with the PA, lighting and technical teams already in place. We'll discuss any technical requirements with you in advance to make sure everything is arranged appropriately for your event.

We’re used to performing in venues of all shapes and sizes, so there’s no fixed amount of space we require. We’ll always work with the space available and set up in a way that’s practical and safe for both the band and your guests.

If you’re unsure whether the performance area at your venue will be suitable, just let us know and we’ll be happy to discuss it with you or your venue in advance.

Our arrival and setup time will depend on the schedule and requirements of your event. We’ll arrange this with you in advance and make sure we’re ready to perform at the agreed time.

We normally require access to the performance area at least 60 minutes before the agreed performance start time, although some events or venues may require additional setup time.

We’ll need a safe and suitable performance area, access to an appropriate power supply and enough time to load in and set up our equipment before the performance.

Every venue is a little different, so we’ll confirm any specific requirements in advance. If your venue has restrictions around access, sound limits, setup times or the use of equipment, we’d appreciate knowing about these as early as possible so we can plan accordingly.

For most events, we’d simply appreciate access to the evening buffet or similar refreshments where available.

If we’re required to be at your event for six hours or more, we’ll ask that suitable food is provided for the band. Any requirements relevant to your booking will be made clear in advance.

Yes. Our musicians carry Public Liability Insurance, and we’re happy to provide evidence of cover if your venue or event organiser requires it.
