meet millennium
Four musicians. One seriously good night.
the story so far
Millennium started with a simple thought:
What if we built the kind of events band we'd want to watch ourselves?

The original plan was simply to put our own spin on great party songs. But as the set developed, more and more of the music we grew up with started sneaking in — those noughties pop songs that perhaps weren't always the coolest thing to admit you loved at the time, but that we're now unashamedly nostalgic for. With a name like Millennium, it felt far too appropriate not to lean into it.

That noughties streak now sits alongside the classics everyone wants to hear, all tied together by the sound we wanted from the beginning: faster, rockier and unmistakably live.

Between us, we've played in original bands at venues and festivals across Scotland, including TRNSMT; entertained at countless weddings and events; and worked in everything from acoustic duos to brass bands and cruise-ship productions. Different worlds, but each has taught us something different about putting on a show and connecting with a live audience.

Millennium is where all of that experience comes together: four musicians, a lot of songs we genuinely love playing, and a live show built to bring the whole room with us.
After years of performing across Scotland's live music and events scene, Daniel and Robert developed a clear idea of the show they wanted to create — something energetic and interactive, with arrangements that had their own personality and a set designed to keep the night moving.

The connections behind Millennium go back further than the band itself. Daniel, Robert and Adam worked alongside each other in music education, while Adam and Callum spent years performing together at holiday parks around the UK. So when the four of us came together as Millennium, there was already plenty of shared musical history to build on.

the line-up
Daniel has been performing professionally since before leaving school, and has since played hundreds of weddings and events with more than a dozen bands across Scotland. His wider musical background includes performing original music at TRNSMT and working as the guitarist for 2013 X-Factor runner-up, Nicholas McDonald.

A lifelong metalhead with an equally unapologetic love of noughties pop, Daniel is responsible for many of Millennium's arrangements, including some of the more ridiculous medleys. On stage, he's rarely content staying in one place for long — whether he's wandering into the crowd or throwing the guitar behind his head, subtlety has never really been his strong suit.

Away from Millennium, he teaches guitar, writes and records his own music and occasionally puts his classical violin training to use. The rest of his time is largely spent keeping his barber in business.

Adam has been playing in original and cover bands for over 10 years, taking him to some of Glasgow’s most iconic venues, including the Barrowland Ballroom, King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and SWG3 Galvanizers. In recent years, he’s also been part of an acoustic duo, performing regularly at weddings and holiday parks across the UK.

Away from the stage, he is a passionate recording engineer and music producer, working on singles and albums for a range of artists and bands — including Millennium’s own promotional material and the debut album from his original band, Gary’s Rainbow Shop.

Adam also teaches guitar and bass alongside Daniel and Robert at the same music school — although he tries not to take sides in their ongoing barber debate.
With nearly 20 years in the entertainment industry, Callum has quite literally sung his way around the world. From touring across the UK and Asia to travelling the globe as a cruise ship vocalist, his career has taken him from theatres and concert stages to some rather glamorous places at sea. Along the way, he's worked with Olivier Award-winning choreographer Karen Bruce, Disney on a production of Frozen, and legendary Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz on a brand-new musical.
Â
These days, he regularly takes his own solo show around the world as a guest entertainer. Callum prides himself on being a true frontman, taking influence from the likes of Freddie Mercury and Tina Turner. He brings big vocals and infectious energy to the stage, with absolutely no interest in standing still.

When he's not performing with Millennium, Callum runs his own live music production company and continues to tour his solo show. His mullet-and-quiff combination also ensures his barber is kept almost as busy as Daniel's.
lead vocals
Robert has spent more than a decade performing and touring, with gigs taking him across the UK and as far afield as India. Along the way, he's played venues and festivals including the Barrowland Ballroom, The Cavern Club, the SECC and the Isle of Wight Festival, as well as countless weddings and events with some of Scotland's busiest and most successful wedding bands.

Behind the kit, Robert brings a hard-hitting, rockier edge to Millennium, drawing influence from drummers including John Bonham and Ringo Starr. His own listening habits are considerably less predictable — spanning rock and metal through to house and techno. And Girls Aloud.

When he's not behind the kit with Millennium, Robert teaches drums full-time and works as a session musician with original artists, while also regularly depping with wedding bands across Scotland. Unlike Daniel, however, he does absolutely nothing to keep his barber in business.
